At Missouri River Healthcare, we have three nurse practitioners, a part time family practice physician, and a competent staff ready to assist you with your medical needs. Our experienced team is committed to providing you with quality care in a courteous manner and a friendly atmosphere.

LaDonna Maxwell

LaDonna Maxwell, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Ms. Maxwell is the owner and CEO of Missouri River Healthcare and a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1994. She has been a Nurse Practitioner for 20 years and a RN for 28 years. She is the 2010 recipient of the Montana Nurses Association (MNA) "Excellence in Advanced Practice Nursing" Award. She also is the 2011 recipient of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) MT Nurse Practitioner of the Year Award. She is active in many legislative and volunteer activities at local, state and federal levels.

Dr. Deanna Babb, DNS, APRN, FNP-BC

Ms. Babb is a third generation, Montana native, born in Great Falls. She is currently the Coordinator of the FNP Program at Montana State University and works part-time as a family nurse practitioner at Missouri River Healthcare. She served many years as American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Montana State Representative, was the recipient of the 2010 AANP Montana State Nurse Practitioner Advocate of the Year, and the 2006 recipient of the Montana Nurses Association (MNA) "Excellence in Advanced Practice Nursing" Award. She has a 20 year background in critical care and cardiovascular nursing, and earned her Baccalaureate and Master's degrees in nursing from Montana State University and Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Dr. Shawn Nesbo

Dr. Shawn Nesbo, MD, AAF BC

Dr. Nesbo is a board-certified family practice physician and a native Montanan. He is working part-time at Missouri River Healthcare. He has 15+ years of experience in family practice. He is an avid hunter and snowmobiler.

Edie Ellsworth, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Edie was raised in Great Falls and loves her hometown. She is a 4th generation Montana. She is a board certified family nurse practitioner who graduated from Montana State University. She was the Palliative coordinator for many years prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. She has multiple hobbies.
